When planning your financial website design in Essex, then choose someone who knows not just about website design but also about the industry you are in. For example, in the insurance and finance sector, the regulatory body the Financial Services Authority (FSA) sporadically review websites to ensure fair play.

They look to see that the key information regarding the products the company is selling is offered. It also means that the design of the website should be such that this information can be found easily and quickly by the consumer.

During a review of websites in 2005 and 2006 the FSA found a quarter of the 77 websites they reviewed failed to come up to expectations. Some were found not to have the key information on their site. Others were hard to navigate around. It makes sense that the consumer will not want to struggle around the website in order to find the information they need. Some will just look elsewhere for the information while others will make a rash purchase through a lack of information. The latter will have a detrimental effect on both your customer and you.
With around 22 million individuals, using the internet on a regular basis your company can benefit greatly from a well thought out website. 40% of those who use the internet regularly do so when it comes to finding information relating to services or products that they are considering purchasing. 18% of these then go on to buy a product or service online.

However in order to be able to benefit from the amount of consumers that do shop online you have to get your website noticed. The way of doing this is to ensure that it gets to the top end of the scale on search engines. Good website design in Essex is therefore essential. The actual content that is included in the design stage can make a difference. While the usual content such as “about the company, company history and jobs” is essential on any website, other content should also be considered.

Content that you should make room on your company website can include links to independent bodies such as the Citizens Advice or the Financial Services Authority. You could also include links to other relevant organizations that can be found locally. Of course, these can then be updated on a regular basis. You should also update the key staff section when it is relevant. This can include recent photos and new staff members.

Another section that could be updated regularly is a news section. This can again be divided into new that is relevant to the products and services that your company offers, such as new ones. It can also be used to give news in general on the company and staff. Here you could post any new awards or certificates that your company or products and services win. Once you have implemented the content into the layout and website design, it is just as important to remember to keep updating. By doing so, this will improve your listings in the search engines. You will also be keeping the customer informed about what is happening. A website that offers static never changing information can be as bad as one that has poor content and a lack of quality information.
